Billboards View

Billboards allow you to pass information to your users, or merely entertain them, during the setup process. These bitmap (.bmp) files can tell your customers about new features in your product or point them to support resources. You can choose to display only one billboard for the entire setup, or you can include a series of billboards, each one designed to display for a specific amount of time. If the setup runs longer than the time you have set in your billboards, the final billboard is displayed until the setup completes.

To add a billboard to your setup project, right-click the Billboards icon to the left and select New Billboard. Once a billboard has been added, you can rename it by selecting it and pressing F2. Next, you need to set your billboard's properties.

Billboards are displayed in the order in which they appear in the Billboards explorer, from top to bottom. To change the order in which billboards appear, right-click on the billboard you want to move and select either Move Up or Move Down, depending on the direction you would like the billboard to move. Alternately, you can select a billboard and press either Ctrl+Shift+Up to move it up, or Ctrl+Shift+Down to move it down.

To remove a billboard from your setup, right-click on the billboard you would like to remove and select Delete.
